MCC Athletics notes for the week of April 10-15
Because of weather concerns the McCook Community College Lady Indian softball doubleheader at Beatrice Saturday has been moved up a day and will be played Friday.Also The MCC baseball team will play Colby today at the Jaycees Sports Complex at 5 p.m. This is a make-up game from earlier in the season.
FAN APPRECIATION DAY: The Lady Indians softball team plays its final home game of the season Sunday starting at 11 a.m. MCC baseball plays NJC in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. The MCC Indians Boosters Club will host Fan Appreciation Day for both the MCC Baseball and Softball teams. The Boosters Club will serve free hot dogs and potato chips to those in attendance as a 'Thank You' to those Indians fans who have supported MCC athletics throughout the 2017-2018 school year. MCC Baseball vs Northeastern Junior College. Doubleheader starting at 1pm.
MCC SOFTBALL: The 23-11 Lady Indians travel to Scottsbluff Tuesday for a doubleheader with Western Nebraska then to Beatrice Friday for two against Southeast Community College and the final home series Sunday with Western Nebraska starting at 11 a.m.
MCC BASEBALL: The Indians host Western Nebraska Wednesday at 1 p.m., the travel to Sterling, Colo., Friday to play Northeastern Junior College. The two teams moved to McCook Saturday starting at 1 p.m. then play two games at fan appreciation day Sunday. MCC will close out its home schedule April 17 against Southeast Community College starting at 2 p.m.
MCC GOLF: The Indians travel to Sterling, Colo. Thursday for what is scheduled to be a two-day tournament at Northeast Junior College.
