Wouters earns another region Player of The Week nod

Sophomore Cory Wouters (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) was named Region IX Player of the Week for the week March 31-April 6.

Wouters hit for the cycle and went six-for-six in the game against Colby April 1 with two home runs, a triple, two doubles and eight RBIs in a game which MCC won 23-22. He hit .684 (13-19) for the week of March 31-April 6 with four doubles, a triple, three homers and 10 RBIs.

This is the second time this season Wouters received this award, winning in in Week 4 (Feb. 17-Feb. 24) when he also received the National Junior College Athletic Association national player of the week honors as well as the Canadian Baseball Network's Canadian player of the week award winner.
