Drake Henderson is in his second year as Assistant Coach at MCC.

He is a 2018 graduate of Perryville High School in Arkansas and graduated in fall of 2024 from Central Baptist College with a bachelor’s degree.

Out of high school, Henderson signed to play basketball at National Park Junior College in Hot Springs, Ark. He became manager for the team during the 2018-19 season. In 2020-21, under Head Coach Dillon Hardgrove, he became a volunteer assistant and was named an assistant coach for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.

He also served as interim head women’s basketball coach at National Park for five games during the 2022-23 season. As an assistant, Henderson’s teams went 50-10 including a 19-3 record in region games.

The highlight during his assistant tenure was winning the 2023-24 NJCAA DII national championship with National Park. He helped coach five all-region players, two second teamers, a two-time region player of the year and an NJCAA first-team all-American.
