Bio
BRANDON PRITCHETT is in his seventh year heading the MCC Women’s Basketball program with a winning percentage of 59.1 percent. He picked up his 100th career win Jan. 22, 2025 in a 72-63 win over Lamar in the Peter and Dolores Graff Events Center. MCC has posted winning seasons in five of Pritchett’s six season at MCC. The Lady Indians finished the regular season 19-12 and went 8-2 in the south region, finishing second among the six teams in the Region IX South. The 8-2 region mark and a No. 2 seed were the best in Pritchett’s tenure.
MCC went 5-1 in the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference last season giving the team a share of six straight conference championships.
FIVE LADY INDIANS received post-season awards:
• Sophomore Madara Liepniece was named to the Region IX all-south team as well as being selected to the all-tournament team, the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference team and an honorable mention pick for the Omaha World-Herald Midlands Junior College team.
• Freshman Carolina Garcia Perdomo was one of five players named to the Region IX South all-defensive team.
• Sophomores Natalie Harmata and freshman Johanna Gerlach were named to the NCCAC team and freshman Peyton Cox received honorable mention for the Omaha World-Herald Midlands Junior college team.
There have been 24 former players moving on to four-year programs. From last year’s team, three players signed on to continue their basketball careers at NCAA D1 programs. Madara Liepniece signed with Bryant University. Irene Fernandez Pavesio will play at Morehead State University. Natalie Harmata will play at D2 St. Anselm.
Of those 24 players, 10 have signed with NCAA Division I and nine more have signed with NCAA Division II.

ACADEMICALLY, the team had a composite GPA of 3.50 last year, attaining Academic Teams of the Year designation by the NJCAA for teams earning GPAs higher than 3.0.
Seven players received NJCAA all-academic team honors for GPAs higher than 3.60: First Team (4.0 GPA): Carolina Garcia Perdomo, Natalie Harmata, Jacelyn Jorgensen, Marta Moya Perez; Second Team (3.8-3.99 GPA): Irene Fernandez Pavesio, Johanna Gerlach and Miriam Wahlqvist.
FROM 2010-2019, Pritchett served as an assistant for the men’s program where he helped produce 28 all- conference players, nine all-Region IX players, two all-Region IX tournament players, three National Junior College Athletic Association national player of the week honorees and a NCCAC Player of the Year. He also coached eight academic all-Americans and 23 academic all-conference players.
PRITCHETT BEGAN his coaching career as an assistant at Flagstaff High School in Arizona. A native of Arizona, Pritchett graduated from the University of Northern Arizona in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and a coaching minor. He received his Master’s degree in Sport Management from the United States Sports Academy. As part of his master’s program he oversaw the development and launch of the McCook Community College Indians Athletic website. He also serves as Area Assistant Director of Advising for Mid-Plains Community College.
Brandon and his wife Jasmine live in McCook, along with their three daughters Amiya, Leiya, Zaiya, and son, Nyjah.
