Bio

Kallie Cathcart, (Holly, Colo.) was named to the All-Region IX South team as a freshman in 2019. Despite missing 10 games because of injury, the 5-7 middle-blocker had 77 block assists on the year (third most in the south, 10 solo blocks and 87 total blocks – all totals which ranked in the top 20 for players in the south division. In addition, she also received honorable mention on the 2019 Omaha World-Herald All-Nebraska college team.

In the 27 matches in which she played she had 135 kills, (1.53 kills per set) and 45 digs.

Kallie actually met her coach, Hayley Kobza in a sale barn. Kallie’s family is involved in the cattle/ranching industry in Colorado and Coach Kobza grew up in the North Platte sale barn with her parents’ operation.

Kallie is MCC Vice President of Student Senate and was named to the Spring 2020 Dean's List.

In high school Callie helped lead her Holly Wildcats to a 14-7 season and a berth in the Colorado state volleyball tournament her senior season -- for the third time in four years. She also played basketball and ran track.  

She led the team with 340 kills, 47 aces, was second in digs with 206 and assists (270) and third in blocks with 25. She also played in the all-state game following the season and was named the Colorado's "Max Preps Player of the Week" back in September. She was named second team all-state both her junior and senior years.

She earned her spot on the team when she attended open tryouts in McCook in June of 2018.
