Bio

Victoria Thomas is a 2023 graduate of MCC and is in her second year as an assistant coach for the Lady Indians. She is originally from J. Frank Dobie High School in Houston, Texas. She played varsity for three years there, appearing in 237 sets, powering 496 career kills and 293 digs.

As a freshman outside hitter at MCC, she appeared in 34 matches and had 192 kills, 201 digs, 12 service aces, 21 blocks. She was named to the all-Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference team

Thomas led MCC with 322 kills as a sophomore, averaging 2.93 per set, and added 306 digs, 50 blocks and 22 service aces. She had 17 matches with double-digit kills and 15 matches of double-digit digs. She was a second-team All-Region IX South player and also named to the Region IX all-tournament team.

In 68 career matches at MCC, she had 539 kills and 544 digs.

Academically she was selected to the Dean’s List in the fall of 2021, to the President’s List in the spring of 2023 and named to the NJCAA All-Academic third team for 2022-2023.

Following her final game at MCC, she was one of 30 student athletes selected to serve as demonstrators for on-court educational sessions at the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s Convention in Omaha.

She came back in the summer of 2023 and again in 2024 to coach one of the teams in MCC’s Wild West all-star volleyball game.

“Vic” is also the Coordinator of Residence Life at MCC and is finishing up her bachelor’s degree at Bellevue University.
